After much waiting, our newest little guy, Harrison Franklin Essex Diehl, made his official debut. I had waited, trying to avoid induction, for labor to begin naturally (although I wasn't too keen on labor actually finishing naturally!!). My prayers were answered and labor began Monday morning. We went to Prentice in the afternoon and shortly thereafter, Harry was born. Some people get epidurals and feel no pain for the entire labor and delivery, but this doesn't seem to be the case with me. However, Harry came out in the correct position and labor and delivery were mercifully short. He looks alot like his big brother, with a thick mop of black hair and a lower lip that is perpetually sucked in. He out-bruiser-ed his brother though, and came out at 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 22 inches long. Welcome to the world, little Harry. We're so glad you're here.
